For anyone who is interested, these are the series of promo posters I designed prior to the launch date of December 5th, 2011. The designs were inspired by the early Michael Spencer Jones Oasis sleeve images back in the mid 90's, with the band's first 3 albums and corresponding singles. Not exactly movie related I know, but these images capture the essence of swinging Britpop London in the mid 90's, and this reminder of a now celebrated bygone glory era of Great Britain is what I was trying to emulate with these posters.

Most of the images I chose for the promotion of FilmNav were archive black and white photos from the opening of the M6 Preston bypass and the M1, which tied in very nicely with both the launch date of my site and the background theme to it. The layout and positioning of text was loosely based on the Michael Spencer Jones covers.

Hi,

These are nice posters. I was talking with my friend last Sunday about the theme of the website that looks very British. This is enhanced by using road signs as the main design layout for navigating around FilmNav – hence the title name. Motorway pages are the main headers, which I’ve given a unique name to – `Webways’, and as you explore further into the site, you will progress on to A roads, and then finally B roads, where the majority of information content is held. Most werbeplakat or promotional poster's pages are given unique road numbers, and this is based on the same numbering system we have in the UK on our roads.

Thanks

Andrya
