Which is the best film adaptation of Charles Dicken’s Scrooge?
Now Christmas is upon us, with Noddy Holder blaring out from smoke-free boozers, and Wizzard’s I Wish it Could be Christmas Every Day repeated endlessly on the radio, there is a very important question which needs answering.

The best version is not on the above list. It is the 1938 version with Reginald Owen and June Lockhart and her real parents: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mW5o5wP4R1A&feature=related It features the BEST nephew portrayal of ANY other version by far. The 1935 Seymour Hicks version is also well done and the best animated version is the 1960s Mr. Magoo’s Christmas Carol. The 1951 Sim’s version rounds out my top four choices.
